Both the Department of Health and Ageing and Medicare Australia provide Medicare Statistical information.
This link will access DoHA's Medicare statistics. The Department provides Medicare statistics which contains summary, current and historic data relating to Medicare.
This link will access the Medicare Australia Statistical Reporting Area. Medicare Australia provides a wide range of statistical information. Statistics from the Medicare Benefits Schedule are available from this web site. The statistics are based on the items and groups in the Medicare Benefits Schedule. These statistics can be broken down by patient gender and age group. Services and Benefits can be reported as count, percentage or per capita statistics. Individual MBS item statistics can be displayed as charts.
